La Dordogne is one of France’s most beautiful and untouched regions, known for its stunning architecture, valleys, and winding rivers. Join us on a tour to explore the area’s most beautiful gardens with renowned garden expert and historian, Amy Kupec Larue.
Tour Overview
The Dordogne region is known for its exceptional gardens. The "jardin remarquable" designation is awarded by the French Ministry of Culture to gardens and parks throughout France that have cultural, aesthetic, historical, or botanical significance. Visiting a garden is always a joy, but to be shown around by the owner and creator of the property makes for an entirely different experience.
Tour Overview
The Dordogne Valley is rich in cultural heritage, with landmarks ranging from cave paintings to medieval fortresses and Renaissance castles. The region boasts 19 villages that have been designated as the 'Most Beautiful Villages in France'. Each location in the Dordogne Valley tells a unique story of its legendary past, exploring this region is a fascinating journey through time.
”You won’t find this level of attention to detail anywhere else. Every moment was carefully crafted, and all I had to do was enjoy the beauty of France.”
