Tour host & co-host

Amy Kupec Larue

Amy Kupec Larue has had the wonderful opportunity to live, work, and travel throughout France for the past 30 years. Her passion for flowers, plants, and the French Art de Vivre has led her to a career that combines her keen interest and vast experience with plants & gardens together with her knowledge and understanding of France.

Since 2005, she has been guiding individuals and groups, including the Pacific Horticulture Society and the New York Botanical Garden, on tours through public and private gardens in Paris, Normandy, Brittany, the Loire River Valley, the South of France, and Tuscany. A true rose-lover, she has also had the honor of becoming a permanent jury member of the Bagatelle Rose Commission in 2009.

Accommodation

La Maison de Lucie

Full of history and soul, this extraordinary house feels like a chapter from One Thousand and One Nights. Once home to poet and artist Lucie Delarue-Mardrus—nicknamed “Princess Amande” by her husband, the translator of the famed tales—its story continues through those who’ve lovingly restored it.

Muriel and Nadim, inspired by their travels through North Africa and the Orient, brought new life to the home. After Nadim’s passing, Muriel preserved its spirit with her eye for beauty and detail.

Today, it’s a warm and magical place filled with antique treasures, glowing colours, Persian carpets, and stories in every room. As the fire crackles and the seasons shift, it invites you to slow down, dream, and be transported.

Vast rows of white headstones commemorating fallen soldiers at the Normandy American Cemetery, facing a tree-lined border.
