MFCH Travel Experiences 2026
Welcome to Marrakesh and to our very first MFCH Trip to Morocco! We are very excited to host this new retreat and look forward to sharing our love for Moroccan culture and wonderful sense of design.
Tour Overview
On MFCH Tours we enjoy fabulous meals, but we also believe in giving you food for your soul. Be this a simple conversation, meeting an artist or artisan creator; sharing the joy of a fabulous landscape or getting an insight into the lives of people we meet.
We aim to show you some of the best Moroccan design be it in century old architecture, or leading designers of today’s Moroccan design scene.
Tour Overview
Staying at the Riad Tarabel is a careful choice for this first tour. In the heart of the Medina, we will make the most of the vibrant city, and yet enjoy the comfort of a beautifully appointed luxury hotel.
We get you off the beaten track and find the true artisan ateliers outside of the city.
”You won’t find this level of attention to detail anywhere else. Every moment was carefully crafted, and all I had to do was enjoy the beauty of France.”

Sharon Santoni, the creator of My French Country Home, heads the Magazine, the MFCH Box, the Boutique, and Tours. Rooted in France for her entire adult life, she holds a deep affinity for French culture. With a passion for sharing insights on French antiques, cuisine, as well as home and garden design, her blog provides a charming peek into life amidst the picturesque Normandy countryside, including her family and dogs. Sharon has hosted tours around France for over a decade, and always strive to show her guests an authentic and particularly elegant way of French life. In March 2026 Sharon releases a new book about Buying Antiques in France, published by the prestigious French house Flammarion!
We’re thrilled to be co-hosting this tour with Franck Schmitt, a talented photographer, journalist, and author with a passion for gardens, interiors, cuisine, and the French art de vivre. After 20 years in editorial roles — including 12 years as editor-in-chief of top lifestyle magazines — Franck has built a rich career creating visual stories for leading publications such as Marie Claire Idées, Campagne Décoration, and My French Country Home Magazine. With his background in both hospitality and journalism, Franck brings a unique perspective to every destination — and his deep love and knowledge of Marrakech make him the perfect companion for this journey. From hidden gardens to local artisans and the city’s vibrant culinary scene, Franck will help us see Marrakech through a local lens, full of beauty, creativity, and authenticity.
Accommodation
Tucked away in the heart of the medina, in the beautiful Dar El Bacha district, Riad Tarabel is a rare gem where Moorish architecture meets Napoléon III elegance. With its sunlit patios, sweeping terraces, and open-air salons, this riad invites you to slow down and savour every moment.
A true haven of luxury and discretion, each room is styled with antique furniture, Emmanuelle chairs, vintage mirrors, and curated art; creating an atmosphere that feels both timeless and deeply personal. A stay here is like stepping into a quieter, more refined world.
