Domaine de Fontenille is a noble 18th-century house, reinvented and preserved amidst centenary cedars, springs, woods, and vineyards. Built between the end of the 16th and the beginning of the 17th century, the bastide has been a landmark since 1638 with its 12 hectares of vines. The estate boasts a rich history, seamlessly blending family portraits, antique busts, and contemporary art, offering an imaginary journey through time.
Located in the picturesque Luberon Natural Park, Domaine de Fontenille is surrounded by the scenic beauty of Provence. Just a short drive from the charming towns of Aix-en-Provence and Lourmarin, guests can explore the local markets, historic sites, and stunning landscapes that define the region.
The Domaine features 19 unique and bright rooms and suites, each designed with a blend of classicism and contemporary flair. Guests can enjoy the refined luxury of art pieces, private terraces, and views of the majestic cedars and Luberon hills. Every room is a haven of tranquility, offering the perfect retreat after a day of exploration.
The culinary offerings at Domaine de Fontenille celebrate the authenticity of regional produce, with a focus on ingredients sourced from their own permaculture garden.
La Cuisine d’Amélie: Situated on the southern terraces of the bastide, this restaurant offers simple yet inventive cuisine. The menu evolves with the seasons, inspired by the estate’s organic vegetable garden and local producers.
Dinner in the Roseraie: Every Monday and Wednesday from June to September, enjoy a unique Provencal menu with smoky brazier notes in the heart of the Roseraie.
Domaine de Fontenille captivates with its breathtaking views of the Luberon and stunning gardens, providing a scenic beauty that enhances every moment. The farm-to-table dining experience at La Cuisine d’Amélie, complemented by the unique Roseraie dinners, celebrates the best of local gastronomy. We love to indulge in the serene wellness space offering Susanne Kaufmann treatments for ultimate relaxation. The estate’s blend of historical elements and contemporary art adds a layer of historical charm, while a variety of outdoor activities, including vineyard trails, horse-riding, and summer yoga sessions, ensures there’s always something to enjoy.
