At My French Country Home Travel, we believe the most memorable trips are the ones that invite you into the soul of a place. The conversations shared over lunch, the garden you still think about months later, the people you meet along the way.
Our Story
My French Country Home began nearly fifteen years ago as a personal blog written by our founder, Sharon Santoni, from her home in the Normandy countryside. It was a way of sharing her love of France: its gardens, antiques, homes, markets, traditions, and the beauty found in everyday life.
Over time, a community formed around these stories. Readers from around the world wanted to experience this France for themselves, not the France of hurried sightseeing, but the France known by those who live there.
And so, My French Country Home Travel was born.
What started with a few small tours through Normandy and Provence has grown into carefully crafted journeys throughout France, England, and Morocco. Yet our philosophy remains exactly the same: to create experiences that feel personal, thoughtful, and deeply connected to place.
The Way We Travel
We prefer depth over haste.
We believe in taking time to truly know a destination. In wandering through markets without an agenda. In lingering over lunch. In stepping inside private homes and gardens. In meeting the people who shape a region; gardeners, artists, historians, antique dealers, chefs, and artisans.
Our journeys are intentionally small. This allows us to travel with flexibility and warmth, creating an atmosphere that feels less like being part of a tour and more like travelling among friends.

And for us, that is perhaps the most rewarding part of all.

The Women Behind MFCH Travel
Sharon Santoni
Founder & Creative Director
More than twelve years ago, Sharon began organising small journeys through France for readers of her blog who wanted to experience the country she had been writing about for years. What started as a few intimate tours soon grew into a collection of carefully curated journeys, welcoming guests from around the world.
Rooted in France for her entire adult life, Sharon has spent decades exploring its regions, building friendships, and uncovering the places that rarely make it into guidebooks. She has an extraordinary network of gardeners, château owners, antique dealers, artisans, historians, and hoteliers — a remarkable address book built patiently over many years and through genuine relationships.
Every My French Country Home journey begins with her. Sharon personally imagines each itinerary, shaping experiences around the places and people she loves most. Her approach to travel is deeply personal: creating journeys that are inspiring but relaxed, beautifully organised yet full of spontaneity, and always centred around meaningful experiences and human connection.
Alizée Baudoin
Travel Manager
Born on the French Riviera and equally at home in the Dordogne and Biarritz, Alizée has always been drawn to beautiful places and different cultures. After spending seven years living in Asia and working in branding and digital strategy, she joined My French Country Home to help create journeys that are thoughtful, seamless, and deeply personal.
From researching new destinations and writing the travel journal to refining itineraries and finding hidden addresses, she is constantly searching for experiences that inspire curiosity and connection.
Amy Kupec Larue
Historian & Garden Specialist
Amy has had the wonderful opportunity to live, work, and travel throughout France for the past 30 years. Since 2005, she has been guiding individuals and groups, including the Pacific Horticulture Society and the New York Botanical Garden, on tours through public and private gardens in Paris, Normandy, Brittany, the Loire River Valley, the South of France, and Tuscany.

Franck Schmitt is a talented photographer, journalist, and author with a passion for gardens, interiors, cuisine, and the French art de vivre. After 20 years in editorial roles,Franck has built a rich career creating visual stories for leading publications such as Marie Claire Idées, Campagne Décoration, and My French Country Home Magazine.
Monica Ginnaio
Historian & Art Specialist
Monica Ginnaio is Italian, holds a PhD in history and art history, and is a travel designer specialized in Italy. She conceives each of her journeys as a unique experience, combining cultural depth, attention to detail, and authentic immersion in the destinations she knows intimately.
